We’re Facilitators

We are experienced professional facilitators. We’ve designed and delivered focus groups, consultations and seminars. At times, it is helpful to bring in an outside perspective to help you more clearly focus on your work, the direction you are taking and what you hope to achieve.

    The Breteau Foundation

The Breteau Foundation contracted us to help create a new theory of change for their work. We provided them with a set of questions based on the Theory of Change Model work we have used in the past to help each regional team define and articulate their own objectives, and the activities that help them achieve those objectives.

They examined the mechanisms of change in their work as a basis for understanding what works and what might need to change. Our external perspective allowed the team to ask itself hard questions about their working models and helped to align their regional strategies to the main mission of the organisation.

By the end the Breteau Foundation had a draft of a Theory of Change model they could use to sharpen their focus and as an opportunity screen for future work.

    Arts Connect

B&G were commissioned by Arts Connect to support their work with arts and cultural leaders in the West Midlands. As the bridge organisation working with partners in education, the arts, culture and local government, Arts Connect provides a platform to ensure young people engage and benefit from high quality arts and culture in the area.

We were delighted to facilitate a series of workshops aimed at cultural leadership themed around cultural engagement of young people, language in the arts and cultural sectors, youth participation, power and allyship, and equity and diversity in the arts and leadership.

“Ben and Gerald brought new ideas and approaches to our cultural sector development programme at Arts Connect. They brought insights drawn from their breadth and depth of experience in the sector which provided our work with rich, diverse content and increased relevance. They’re collaborative, imaginative and good listeners. They’re ambitious for their clients and good at interpreting what they need.”
